De La Vista 5-15-23 Contractor: Down to Earth dtelandscape.com
Here is what I saw Monday 5-15-23 at De La Vista.
The bunkers all looked good. They were groomed and had been edged recently.
The greens were almost weed free. Almost all of the greens have dying areas probably caused by nematodes. Did the last set of soil samples show nematodes? Has Down to Earth treated for nematodes? I am guessing not. Too expensive to treat.
Hole 1
New sod was added to some of the tee boxes. But none were fully sodded. Here the sod is to the left and part of it is under stress.
This is the tee box we hit off of.
Nicely groomed and edged trap.
A couple of rare weeds on the greens
Hole 2
Walking to the second tee there is a 4 to 5 inch drop off along the cart path.
Lots of weeds in the area not sodded.
Damage on the green
Hole 3
Weeds are not being sprayed on the course except the greens. This is the sign post with weeds that need to be sprayed.
Cart paths need to edged when the growth exceeds 1 inch. Now that grass is growing they should be edged weekly like we do at our homes.
There is a dead tree just off of the tee box.
Dying areas of the green.
Hole 4
Well, it has returned. The dirty bacteria covered broken water spicket that is a health department violation.
They all need to be edged.
Hole 5
They make it hard for the walkers to get around the ropes. On the championship courses they leave an opening for the walkers.
Damaged dying areas are on most of the greens.
Hole 6
New sod on the tee box. Not sure what they are doing with the land between the cart path and the tee box.
The front of that tee box above was not finished intentionally in front. Why?
The tee box that is being used.
