Bonita Pass 10-19-23
Bonita Pass 10-19-23 Contractor: Brightview Golf Maintenance, Inc. Brightview.com
Here is what I saw Thursday 10-19-23 at Bonita Pass.
It is pretty much the same condition that I have seen recently at Tarpon Boil and Redfish Run. It makes sense in that it is the same Superintendent managing all three courses.
There are stumps of two palm trees next to the starter's shack. I am wondering why the palm trees have not been replaced or at least the stumps ground out.
It looks like this weed is called American Beautyberry. It is located a few feet from the starter shack.
This weed is called Creeping Spiderwort and is also located next to the starter shack.
This green has some issues.
They need to put up some green and white stakes to keep folks off.
Edging is overdue.
This trap was groomed nicely.
They were out spraying weeds.
This green also has issues.
It is good that they are spraying the weeds and grass in the cracks. However, I do not think they are to use the colored chemicals on the cracks.
Some of the traps have grass runners that need to be removed.
Another green with some issues.
This plug was set too high and was scalped by the mower. They need a nursery green to repair this.
This picture was to remind me that they had just fertilized the green.
Here is a Zero traffic area that is a real mess.
Another green with issues.
Another example of edging that is behind schedule.
The greens are not loaded with weeds, however, weeds are still an issue. Goose Grass is what is mostly pictured.
Here is a low traffic area that is not getting the care called for in their contract.
The magnolia is overhanging the cart path. You cannot drive a cart under it. I believe the contractor needs to trim a 15 foot clearance.
