Roosevelt 9-23-23 Contractor: Down to Earth dtelandscape.com
Hello Mitch,
Here is what I saw golfing at Roosevelt Saturday 9-23-23.
These greens are in good condition. They have been fertilized. The grass is green. It is thicker and it has much better root structure. There used to be almost no roots structure in my ball marks and now there is.
The cup cutting is very good. You don't see very many old cups as they are healing in much faster.
Some of the greens still have some damaged areas that are trying to grow in.
There seems to be more weeds in the edge of the green and fringe. There are still tons of weeds off the greens.
There are a number of areas that have new sod.
Tee boxes are in rough shape.
Lots of weeds.
I noted that tee markers are not being moved around the tee box to even out the wear and tear.
Organic material has been applied to some of the tee boxes.
A damaged spot on a green.
Weeds in the fringe.
There are many areas like the picture. The grass in these areas have not filled in because they are lacking fertilizer and the other things you do to get grass to grow.
Many weeds in the tee box.
The traps were not groomed in a while.
This large trap only had one rake.
There is an equipment maintenance issue with the mower not being able to cut the grass evenly.
This green has a damaged spot in the middle of the green.
It would be nice to have a nursery green of each type of grass so that the contractor could repair damaged spots like this.
This picture also shows the last aeration has not healed totally.
Not groomed and lots of golfers not raking the traps.
Areas off of the green are in need of help.
This is a tee box. They have applied organic material to help it grow in.
That is an odd look. I am not sure how the grooming machine did this.
Greens are green.
Collars need help.
Another damaged spot on a green.
