Redfish Run 9-7-23
Redfish Run 9-7-23 Contractor: Brightview Golf Maintenance, Inc. Brightview.com
Here is what I saw golfing at Redfish on Thursday September 7, 2023.
Redfish is in horrible condition.
It is sad that you let Brightview slide on their contractual obligations.
There are many areas on the course like what is pictured below. Had Brightview followed their Master Production Plan and fertilized when they said would, these areas would have grown in. Skipping fertilization saves them a lot of money.
Hole 1
The green has many dying areas like the ones you see around the pin.
Most all of the greens had a soft spongy feeling walking on the green.
The greens were very slow to putt.
A number of the greens had Sand Hill Crane damage. That means the greens are not being sprayed for insects.
None of the traps were groomed either Wednesday or today until late in the round.
I stopped the sand trap groomer to ask him a question. He did not speak English. He clearly is new to the US.
Brightview by contract is supposed to use E-Verify. My guess is that this person was not put through the E-Verify system. Mitch....who verifies the use of E-Verify ?
Here is an example of the Sand Hill Crane damage.
Here is a mess along the cart path.
All of the landscape beds are a big mess. They are full of weeds.
Another example of areas where the grass has not filled in.
This trap has been holding water from time to time.
Traps have not been edged is a long time. There are lots of grass runners and weeds growing in the traps.
There is a lot of Goose Grass (Weeds) that needs to be sprayed. Brightview's Master Production Plans states that these weeds should have been sprayed several times over the last 8 weeks.
This tee box is loaded with an invasive grass or weed
Needs edging
Here is a tee box that shows that the mower is completely out of calibration. Clearly the operator does not care as they just keep on mowing. The Superintendent should catch this and have the machine repaired.
I had to make a sand shot from near this weed.
The sand was hard and compacted.
You would think that they would replace a rake that has been damaged.
There is still an issue with cutting cups.
