Chula Vista 9-28-23       Contractor: Down to Earth     dtelandscape.com

Hello Mitch,

Here is what I saw golfing at Chula Vista Thursday 9-28-23.

All of the landscaping areas around the Starter's Shack looked GREAT !  Actually I did not see a bad looking landscaping area on the course.

There is no bermudagrass here.  It is mostly crabgrass.

The tee boxes are horrible.

However, there are a lot less weeds.

All or almost all of the greens still have damaged areas that have not healed in yet after going through the growing season.

Lot's of areas like this all over the course that have not filled in during the growing season.

Lot's of new sod.

I hope that Down to Earth paid for the sod.  Since their poor maintenance caused the need for the re-sodding.

Cup cutting is still poor.  However, it may be a little better than it was.

The dark green cup is a hole, set too low.  It needs to be re-cut and lifted up.  Why isn't the Superintendent seeing this and having it repaired?

The traps were well groomed today.

Large area of new sod above the 4th green.

That is over a 4 inch drop off.  I think it is a trip hazard.

Weed control in the greens has improved a lot.

This Brazilian Calla-Lily  is about 16 inches across and will keep spreading.  It will leave a dead spot as it is so thick that it will kill the bermudagrass.  It needs to be controlled sooner than later.
