Here is what I saw golfing at De La Vista Saturday 6-3-23.

My last round of golf at De La Vista was 19 days ago and not much has changed since May 15.

The bunkers are still groomed and look good.  The greens are still weed free.  

A damaged area along a cart path that I pointed out has been repaired and roped off. 

The water cooler spicket has been replaced or at least a different cooler is being used today.  The spicket you will see is dirty and covered with bacteria just as it was three weeks ago.  This is a health department violation.  Do these people have the facilities and training to clean and sanitize these coolers?  The ice machines are very hard and time consuming to clean and sanitize.  What condition is the ice machine in?  Would it pass a health inspection?

I think it was September of 2022 that I took my first picture of a dirty cooler for you.  8 months ago and they still keep coming.

Almost all of the tee boxes are covered in new weeds, excluding the sodded areas.  It appears the tee boxes did not receive a Pre-emergent treatment.  Actually they were pointed out in a picture of the 9th tee box three weeks ago.  They are spreading more now.

A number of the greens have areas like this where the green is dying.

There is debris shown here.  I will have to say that overall a lot of debris has been removed from the course.

This is part of the fairway on the 5th Par 4.

No grass here.  Where there is grass it is very thin.

They have been doing a much better job of cutting cups.  But the good guy does not work everyday.  So the untrained worker does this.  It is too high and is going to get scalped on Monday.  Of course the superintendent could catch this and have it repaired, but that won't happen.

Three weeks ago I wondered what they were going to do with this area.  Now I know.  They are letting weeds grow in it.

This area by the 6th green turned out very nice compared to what is was like.

6th green is the nicest green on the course.

I think the contractor is pretending that this area is not part of the golf course.

It is Saturday and Down to Earth is still not cutting the greens on the weekends in violation of their contract.
