Tarpon Boil 3-13-23

Here is what I saw Sunday 3-13-23 at Tarpon Boil before the rain chased us away. 

I have a new golfing buddy.  He is a retired regional golf superintendent.  He has a pretty good golf game.

Hole 1

The first 5 greens that I saw today are a mosaic of different grasses.

Hole 2

There is a dead area running around the edge of the green.

Here is one way that the different grasses are being spread around the green.  The cup plug is a different grass than it's surrounding grass.

The holes all look similar.

All of the landscape areas need a lot of work.

The yardage markers all need edging

The traps were all groomed nicely.  I did not see any grass runners.  

This damage may be caused by run off from above it.  Maybe a poor design.  The water could have been diverted away from the trap during construction.

Hole 5

This location is right next to the tee box.  The landscaping is a mess.

Then the rain came and that is it from Tarpon Boil.
