Here is what I saw Sunday 2-19-23 at Chula Vista

Hole 1

Tee box is a mess.

Lots of weeds in all of the greens.

Damage on the green.

Lots of cup cutting issues.  This plug was set too high and then was scalped by the mower.

All of the traps have grass runners.

Poorly replacement of plug.  This will take a long time to heal.

If you look on the left side of the picture you will see a gap between the cup and the ground.  The worker is either untrained or extremely careless.  He is responsible for the picture above.
Hole 2

All of these tree branches lay 10 yards from the tee box.

I played Monday at El Diablo and none of their tee boxes looked like this mess.

They empty the trash and check the ball washer everyday.  How hard would it be to clean up the mess right under it.

It has been a while since they trimmed.

Poor maintenance has lead to this trap in need of damage repair.

There are lots of these grass runners in the traps

Lots of weeds in the greens

Cup plug was set too high and the mower scalped it.  The plug needs to be reset at the proper height so that the grass has room to grow.  Of course they never do that.

Lots of damaged areas on all of the greens

I am not sure, but I think this is from a worm at night.  It is an indication that the greens were not mowed.  The contract says the greens are to be cut everyday of the year.  So there is some financial incentive for the contractor to skip mowing the greens on the weekends.
They save bringing a worker in for an 8 hour shift each day.  That is 16 hours at say $20 an hour totaling $320.00.  This contractor has 16 executive courses so that is $320 times 16 which equals $5,120 per week.
Annually that is $266,000.
Rick Watts is the Regional Superintendent for Down to Earth Landscaping.  He manages the scheduling and time cards.  I wonder it he is getting a nice bonus for savings like this.

Lots of leaves on the box.  They are to be cleaned off each day.

I had to putt on this mess.  I am not sure how you fix it.

Hole 4

Weeds in the Landscape

Weeds in the Landscape
Forward tee box covered in leaves
Per the contract leaves are not to be blown into the landscape like shown in the picture.  They are to be picked up and removed from the property.
You know it takes time to pick up the leaves and time is money.  So that is why they don't pick up debris and leaves.
